• This book in conjunction to its prequel is a must-read for anyone, Muslim and non-muslim looking for an education that will help to de-colonize the lense of mistruth and white supremacy that has freely floated in almost every avenue of peoples lives including ironically, the modern Muslim community of today. This book is not an attempt to say that every companion or member of the Prophet's family was of African descent or "Black" by today's standards of the term, but to raise awareness that many were! I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
• I am so happy to finally see this come out. I loved the stories and narratives in here. I will re-tell these to my children so that they can relate to the Africaness of the family members of the Prophet of Islam (AS). A must read for every Muslim of African descent.
